Pyrus elaeagrifolia - Oleaster-leafed Pear

  • A slender, upright deciduous shrub - or small tree with narrow, elongated, silvery foliage. Clusters of white, scented flowers bloom in the spring and are followed by small pears that when mature turn yellow. The fruits have a reasonable flavour when ripe in the Autumn.

  • Easy to grow. For optimum growth, it is best to be planted where it will receive full sun. It can withstand temperatures as low as -20c. Excellent quality starter plant in an 8cm square pot.
