Rarely offered, the small sized tree has sulphur yellow coloured flower heads that bloom in late May. It has sweet, edible nectar and seeds (when cooked) which taste similar to a sweet chestnut. The Aesculus flava originates from E-North-America (Tennessee and Pennsylvania).
