The Makrut Lime can be classed as a compact shrub or perhaps very small tree which grows to a height of around 2m or slightly shorter if grown in a pot. The leaves are quite small and the wrinkled skinned,  mandarin sized fruits turn a greenish yellow when mature, yet they are often used when still green. This lovely species can be grown easily in a pot and will thrive in full sun or even dappled shade in a loam based soil.
