Betula medwedewii is a compact, deciduous shrub with upright branches which gradually begin to spread out with age. During the months of winter, the birch has glossy, conspicuously pointed buds which bloom into yellow (male) catkins in late spring.
The Transcaucasian Birch has dark-green, glossy leaves which turn a wonderful golden yellow in the autumn, adding a warm glow to your garden during the colder months.
