Shipping to EU Countries - What will change?

We are happy to inform you that we are continuing to ship our plants to our customers within the EU from January 1st, 2021. There are however a few changes we would like to inform you about, including some additional charges.

Dear Customer,

We recognise that you, as a valued customer may want to understand the steps we are taking to deal with Brexit, and how we are working to minimise any impact on our customers purchasing from us.

From the 1st January 2021, we will be having a representative from the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs come out to our nursery. They will be checking over your plants and will issue a certificate to confirm that the plants are pest and disease free due to a new formal requirement. All our plants are grown under the strictest conditions.

From the 1st January 2021, there will be an additional charge of approx. £30 to your order (on top of delivery charge) for this required process, whether it be just for the 1 plant or 100 to keep this extra fee the lowest possible for our customers. This will mean that there will be a handling time of approx. 2-3 weeks as the orders will be inspected in batches.

We would like to inform you that whilst we are continuing to send parcels to mainland Europe, the EU has restricted certain species to enter the bloc, which they deem "high risk", please send your wish list by email, before placing the order so we can confirm the items are allowed to be posted. We will then prepare and send an invoice for you.

We would also like to make you aware of the possibility of having to pay custom charges prior to delivery. This can be equivalent to the VAT rate of your country.

List of prohibited species:

Acacia Jasminum
Acer Juglans
Albizia Ligustrum
Almus Lonicera
 Annona Malus
Bauhinia Nerium
Berberis Persea
Betula Populus
Caesalpinia Poncirus

Citrus trifoliata Quercus
Cornus Robinia
Corylus Salix

Hopefully, the restrictions will begin to ease with time, and we will be sure to regularly update you on the situation.

We see an exciting future for Jurassicplants Nurseries and we are looking forward to continue providing you with our splendid species and incredible edibles.

We can assure you that 2021 will be full of new and exciting additions, so keep your eyes peeled!
