Caesalpinia spinosa – Spiny Holdback, Tara

  • A small Acacia-like evergreen South American tree with very decorative, glossy, composite leaves and striking yellow –red flowers, followed by very interesting, spongy, orange seed pods. Small spines develop on the stem and the peduncle of the leaves. It is a great pot plant in Britain, if overwintered frost free, it will make a nice, exotic corner on any patio. Hardy to -3C, it will grow in any free draining soil.
  • Excellent quality, 10cm tall plant in an 8cm square pot.
