Citrus limetta x Citrus trifoliata
Sweet lemon x Hardy lemon

This has to be a truly unique plant and only currently available from Jurassic Plants Nurseries. Many years ago a Citrus limetta tree was grafted onto a Citrus trifoliata rootstock. The fruits still are large like an orange and the extracted seeds germinated and produced young plantlets with not just the simple leaves like the Sweet Lemon has but with trifoliate leaves, much larger and the plantlets also grow far faster than the Hardy lemon (Japanese bitter orange).

Why not try this interesting hybrid plant, which should be very cold tolerant and produce bigger fruits then the original hardy lemon?

The intended main use of this plant is to grow food for human consumption. We always recommend further research to learn the different ways in which the food source can be prepared and consumed.
