Jasminum humile is a semi-evergreen shrub with an arching or rounded habit (reaching 2 x 2m within 10 years), originating from China. During the middle of Summer, it is known to be an elegant looking plant. Numerous golden yellow, miniature trumpet like flowers form in clusters at the tip of the branches. Due to its vibrant colouring it creates a stunning backdrop when trained against a wall. It looks great when planted in a border, it is also suitable as a patio plant or a bonsai. The Yellow Jasmine is a fully hardy plant, tolerating temperatures as low as -20c as well as droughts. The plant is best positioned where it will receive morning or afternoon sun or half shade.
