Kalopanax septemlobus is a rarely offered, but highly ornamental and easy to grow tree. The Prickly Castor Oil Tree is one to stand out with its quirky looking, spiny stem and decorative, leathery foliage, that can reach up to a foot long. The countless, greenish flowers attract many pollinators, including butterflies and bees. The birds adore the black fruits that are produced. The Kalopanax septemlobus has a yellow Autumn colour.
