Podocarpus elatus is another decorative Brown Pine species from Australia. I evergreen tree originating from Australia. This Plum Pine has dark brown bark that is often scaly on old trees and willow-like leaves that can reach 5-10cm in length, usually shorter than the leaves of P. macrophyllus. The red-blue-black, fleshy fruits are attached to the seed which often start to germinate on the tree itself. The fleshy bit is edible raw or processed.
