The cold and wet soil tolerant Flowering Currant is a real focal point in the garden during early and mid Spring. It produces masses of draping clusters of pinky-red flowers which open all at the same time, making this plant very showy for weeks. It prefers a heavier, moist soil and will thrive in partial shade or full sun.
Ribes sanguineum 'Koja' is a fast growing shrub but its height remains relatively low at 1.5-2m. It can be pruned and will still flower freely if grown in a container.
