Sinowilsonia henryi – Henry Wilson Tree

  • Sinowilsonia henryi is very rare ornamental tree with elliptic , hairy leaves, turning a brilliant red and orange in the Autumn which is one of the main highlights of the plant. The other is the yellow, hanging flowers in racemes that open before the leaves appear. The fruits have some ornamental value too, but this does not beat the Autumn colours of the leaves. A deciduous tree, with longer horizontal branches, the Henry Wilson Tree prefers a slightly acidic, good fertile soil where it will grow relatively quickly. Hardy to -20C.

  • We have 8-10cm tall, fresh young plants available.
