Clematis tangutica is a cheerful deciduous climber which bursts into flower from July to October. It produces masses of bright yellow lanterns which contrast beautifully against its light green, delicate foliage. From October, highly decorative, fluffy seed-heads appear alongside the blooms, adding great interest in the autumn months. It is excellent for covering walls, pergolas, arches or fences and it can even be grown in a pot. The Golden Clematis is easy to grow, thriving without much attention or care and can withstand temperatures as low as -25C.
