Magnolia grandiflora is a bold, medium sized evergreen that is ideal for being grown up walls that receive a lot of sun light. In mid-late summer the Evergreen Magnolia produces beautiful, large cup sized, white flowers that give off a lemon fragrance. The showy flowers catch your eye when amongst the dark, glossy green leaves. The foliage gives added interest to your garden all year round. Colourful cone-like fruits can sometimes appear. For optimum growth, it prefers moist but well-drained soil and to be positioned in the sun or dappled shade where it is sheltered from cold winter winds.
