A rare Chinese Buckthorn species with more abundant fruits than the R catharticus, in fact its branches are covered with black fruits in the Autumn. The Rhamnus schneideri var mandshurica can reach to heights of 2-3m but it can be trimmed and kept in a pot. During Spring, white flowers bloom which are pure heaven for insects. For months (between August and November) the fruits decorate the plant wonderfully.
