Indigofera hebepetala is another Himalayan shrub with late season flowering, its crimson racemes are in flower for a good month from early August but its attractive, soft, pinnate leaves makes it very elegant. 1.5m tall. Indigo is known to be one of the most ornamental late flowering shrubs, particularly stunning when grown up a fence or against a wall, transforming it into a something rather beautiful. The Crimson Indigo Shrub is a hardy plant, tolerating temperatures as low as -20c and is best positioned where it will receive full sunlight.
