Vaccinium corymbosum (Blueberry) is a deciduous shrub which has a rounded, bushy habit with multiple seasons of interest. From late spring to early summer, clusters of pearly white flowers bloom on the bare stems. In mid-summer, an abundant of medium-sized, juicy, edible blueberries form amongst its leaves. They will happily produce their fruits in a medium sized pot. The sweet tasting fruits can be eaten raw or can be used to make jams, tarts, and preserves. The berries are known to be full of vitamins and antioxidants. Loved by not only us but by the birds and the bees too! The fruits are followed by an excellent display of autumn colours.
