The Titania variety is an easy to grow, mildew resistant shrub that produces an abundance of large, black berries from mid-summer over a long cropping time. Blackcurrants have a high juice content which is reasonably sweet and used to make cordials and even cassis. High in antioxidants and rich in vitamin C, the superfood can help give your immune system a boost. For optimum growth, best to plant in neutral soil (soil acidity can be corrected easily by adding ground limestone around the root area when it is planted out in the ground or re-potted).
