St John's Wort is a small rounded shrub, with brilliant yellow, pompom like flowers early summer and light green foliage most of the year, it works well on a sunny patio in a large pot, too. Hypericum perforatum has been used as a medicinal herb since recorded history in the form of juices, extracts, teas and tinctures. Fully hardy and drought tolerant. If it is deadheaded in summer, it can put on a second flush of flowers in the autumn.
