A surprisingly hardy Acacia from New Zealand and Australia. Acacia pravissima has flattened, grey leaves that are arranged vertically on the stem, with a slender, almost weeping habit. Millions of yellow, fragrant, pom pom flowers appear in late winter to early spring. The Oven's Wattle' flowers are often followed by narrow, long, pea like fruits which are quite decorative when brown. Hardy to - 5C, this will thrive in a sheltered spot against a south facing wall or in a pot on a sunny patio. Ultimate height is 3m within 15 years or so.
