Brachychiton populneus is a medium sized evergreen that is native to eastern Australia. When in flower during the summer, stunning bell-shaped red flowers hang from the tree amongst the glossy-green, deeply lobbed leaves. Decorative, ornamental pods are produced in the autumn. The Kurrajong is a great feature tree that needs little maintenance, can grow in most environments and is great for those with a small garden. For optimum growth, the tree prefers to be positioned in full sun and over winter to be kept frost free.
