Olea europaea is a slow growing, medium sized evergreen fruit tree that can reach to heights of 3m, originating from the Mediterranean. It is well known for its fruit, the olive. The long oval, irregularly toothed leaves are of a grey-green colour on top and a silvery green-grey underneath reaching up to 8cm in length. During June- July very small whitish and yellow scented flowers are produced and if planted in suitable conditions can then go onto producing edible fruits. Olives can grow outdoors as long as they are in well-drained soil and are placed in a sunny position in a protected garden. The Olive Tree is drought tolerant and hardy to -5c.
- We have small seedling plants (6-8cm tall) on offer.

The intended main use of this plant is to grow food for human consumption. We always recommend further research to learn the different ways in which the food source can be prepared and consumed.
