The Acer carpinifolium is a fantastic, underrated plant with beautifully shaped leaves, featuring fishbone-like veins. The Hornbeam Maple's foliage readily turns yellow in Autumn. The Hornbeam Maple is even great to have on the patio, branching out freely but growing relatively slowly. Fully hardy, its brown leaves remain on the branches in Winter and drop early Spring.
