Acer mono or acer pictum subsp mono is another decorative species, with mainly 5 lobes leaves. The foliage is bronze coloured in Spring, turning yellow and orange in Autumn. The Painted Maple is great to have on the patio, branching out freely but growing relatively slowly. Fully hardy. Excellent quality starter plant in a 7cm square pot.
