Indigofera heterantha is an elegant flowering, deciduous shrub that originates from China. It is a medium sized shrub that grows at a steady pace, reaching the height of 2-3m. During June- September, clusters of rose-purple pea-shaped flowers bloom in long racemes, contrasting greatly against the pale green leaves. It is known to be one of the most ornamental late flowering shrubs, particularly stunning when grown up a fence or against a wall, transforming it into a something rather beautiful. The Himalayan Indigo Shrub is a hardy plant, tolerating temperatures as low as -20c and is best positioned where it will receive full sunlight.
- We have excellent quality, 20-30cm tall plants on offer.
