Like something from Avatar, Garrya features spectacular, hanging, necklace-like flowers in the middle of Winter, against a dark green, evergreen foliage backdrop. Not fussy to soil conditions and quite drought tolerant, it forms a 2-3m tall, rounded to upright shrub. The flowers of the Silk Tassel Tree contrast beautifully against its dark-green glossy leaves.
