Acer nipponicum is an architectural looking, 3-4m tall maple tree from Japan. Its leaves are deeply veined and can be more than palm sized with the young stems a striking green colour. The leaves have now dropped for winter. The Nippon Maple produces very ornamental fruits that hang in long peduncles. For its optimum growth, it is best to position the tree where it will receive dappled shade and little wind, to avoid the foliage from burning by the sun and wind.
- We have 10-15cm tall starter plants on offer, please note that the laves got brown patches and edges by now - it loses foliage early in Autumn.
