Star of Autumn and Winter, this maple will provide fantastic, orange-red colours from mid-October onwards and its white, striped trunk is an even more spectacular sight after the leaves drop. A hardy species from the far East. As a small to medium sized tree, it forms an open, vase shaped crown, decorated with hanging yellow racemes mid Spring, followed by green then orange stalked fruits, among the colouring leaves in Autumn. Can reach 4-5m but can be kept smaller in a pot. Fully hardy.
