Native to Africa, this evergreen shrub features glossy, thick leaves and pure white, scented flowers all summer long. It has the most amazing, sweet scented, plum sized red fruits which are juicy and edible when fully ripe. The fruits can be made into jams and jellies too (the plant itself is poisonous). It grows well in fertile soil but must be lifted to overwinter frost free. Can grow up to 2m in a pot (easy to trim) and can withstand temperatures down to 0C.
