Pomelo is one of the oldest, original citrus species, used extensively for breeding(for example the grapefruit is a pomelo/orange hybrid), however it comes true from seed. Native to Sotheast Asia, used extensively for food every part of the plant is larger than that of other citrus from the leaves to the fruits, which can weigh 1.5kg each. Hardy down to -5C, it makes an excellent conservatory plant. Vigorous and flowers well when established.
