Corylopsis glabrescens - Fragrant Winter Hazel


  • One of the most interesting shrubs one can have. It flowers fairly early, producing flowers in March that diffuse a sweet scent before the leaves appear. Corylopsis flowers are yellow, appearing in hanging racemes. It also has a stunning autumn colour in the shades of orange and red. This plant is tolerant to wetter soils and grows best in semi-shade. 2x Our best available 15-20cm tall (1 year old) plants in a sturdy 7cm pot; freshly hand-picked from our nursery benches; cultivated under UK climatic conditions.
