The Thorny Ginseng is a deciduous shrub with great autumn interest. Individual, deep purple or black berries appear on individual stalks architecturally and will last through to the months of winter. Eleutherococcus leucorrhizus has palmately lobed leaves and before the fruits appear, tiny white flowers bloom.
