Jacaranda mimosifolia - Jacaranda Tree

  • The Jacaranda mimosifolia is a fast growing, beautiful deciduous tree that can reach the height of 15m, originating from India. With the tree being tall but wide it is great for bringing shade to the garden or to be used along streets. From April- May the tree has an ornamental value. It produces masses of panicles that are made up of purple trumpet- shaped flowers that grow on leafless branches. The flowers are slightly fragranced. The Jacaranda mimosifolia is hardy to -3c and is highly drought tolerant. The plant is best positioned where it will receive full sunlight.

  • We have small seedlings on offer, 2-3 in a 7cm pot, 8-10cm tall.
