Jacaranda mimosifolia is a fast growing, beautiful deciduous tree that can reach the height of 15m (2-3m in a pot), originating from subtropical regions of South America. With the Jacaranda Tree being tall but wide it is great for bringing shade to the garden or to be used along streets. It produces masses of panicles that are made up of purple trumpet- shaped flowers that grow on leafless branches. The flowers are slightly fragranced. It is hardy to -3c and is highly drought tolerant. The plant is best positioned where it will receive full sunlight and it can be grown on the patio or in a heated conservatory.
- We have 6-8cm tall, nice seedling plants on offer.
