Skimmia laureola is a slow growing evergreen shrub that can reach to heights of 1.5m, originating from the Sino-Himalayan region. From April to June, sweetly scented, potassium yellow flowers bloom. The cooked leaves are edible. Black fruits follow which are adored by the birds. The Yellow Skimmia makes not only a great patio plant but bonsai too. It can grow in semi-shade or no shade but for its best optimal growth and flowering it should be placed in moist soil. It is tolerant to atmospheric pollution as well as being resistant to temperatures as low as -15c.
- We have excellent quality, 30cm tall. two years old plants available.
