Styrax formosanus - Taiwanese Snowbell (15-20cm tall)

An elegant, medium sized deciduous tree that originates from Korea & Japan. It has spreading branches that are covered in finely pointed, ovate leaves. The leaves turn orange and golden yellow throughout the months of autumn. During the summer, white bell-shaped flowers with yellow stamens bloom beneath the branches.

Styrax obassia - Fragrant Snowbell (10-15cm tall)

An upright, slender deciduous tree that originates from Japan (can reach to a height of 3-4m). It has a rounded habit with simple yet decorative dark green leaves. Masses of white, fragrant bell-shaped flowers bloom in racemes during late spring, early summer. In older trees, their smooth grey trunks exfoliate and can reveal a stunning orange inner later which adds winter interest. For optimum growth the Fragrant Snowbell is best to position it where it will receive full sun, partial shade. It can withstand temperatures as low as -15c.

Pterostyrax corymbosa - Epaulette Tree (20-25cm tall)

A stunning when in flower, this medium sized tree will grow fine in a sheltered spot in the garden, or in a pot. Originating from China, the Pterostyrax has beautiful, hanging racemes in mid-Summer, with hundreds of white flowers, which resemble epaulettes. The long racemes give the tree a weeping appearance. Foliage turns a spectacular yellow in Autumn with interesting, hairy fruits developing which are quite decorative.
