The Aronia prunifolia is a small shrub that receives great interest during Autumn due to its foliage turning purple and its purple/black berries that are produced. When the berries become ripe enough, they can be made into an excellent jam (has extra sugar - high in antioxidant). Small, white flowers bloom from May-June. The Purple Chokeberry branches out freely and is suitable to be grown in a pot on the patio.
