A delicious tropical fruit from Central-America, with palmately composed, leathery leaves. Its fruits are apple shaped and as they mature, become yellow. They are juicy with a subtle hint of mango, having many culinary uses from jams to baked goods. It needs to be overwintered in a conservatory, frost free but it is capable to fruit in a large pot after a few years. A free draining, fertile soil is best to use, but it does not have to be acidic.
