Pyrus amygdaliformis is a slender, upright deciduous shrub - or small tree with narrow, elongated, silvery foliage. Clusters of white, scented flowers bloom in the spring and are followed by small pears that when mature turn yellow. The fruits have a reasonable flavour when ripe in the Autumn. Easy to grow. For optimum growth, the Almond-leaved Pear is best to be planted where it will receive full sun.
- We have excellent quality, 8-10cm tall starter plants to offer.
-
The intended main use of this plant is to grow food for human consumption. We always recommend further research to learn the different ways in which the food source can be prepared and consumed.
