Pyrus calleryana is a very popular medium to large deciduous pear tree, originating from China. During mid-late Spring it produces masses of dainty, pretty fragranced white flowers that cover the whole of the tree. Before falling in the Autumn, the glossy bright green leaves turn to a vibrant orange/red putting on a great autumnal display. The Callery Pear in particular is one of the last to lose its leaves making it great for screening purposes, it is a widely planted tree in urban areas. Small fruits are produced on the tree but they are not always a regular occurrence.
- We have freshly potted starter plants (10-15cm tall) in 7cm pot, ready to be sent.
