  • Ugni montana - Mexican Montain Guava (8cm)

An evergreen shrub made up of tiny, dark green, simple leaves. Beautiful pink and yellow, bell-shaped flowers bloom from June, shortly followed by blackberry sized, black fruits. The fruits are not only full of wonderful strawberry and pineapple flavours, but they are also full of lycopene and vitamins. The berries are perfectly edible fresh or can be processed into jams, cakes or eaten dried. Start your morning right by adding them to your breakfast muesli or fruit salads. Ugni montana is suitable for pot growing and can make an excellent bonsai subject.

    Vaccinium corymbosum - Blueberry (15cm)

A deciduous shrub which has a rounded, bushy habit with multiple seasons of interest. From late spring to early summer, clusters of pearly white flowers bloom on the bare stems. In mid-summer, an abundant of medium-sized, juicy, edible blueberries form amongst its leaves. They will happily produce their fruits in a medium sized pot. The sweet tasting fruits can be eaten raw or can be used to make jams, tarts, and preserves. The berries are known to be full of vitamins and antioxidants. Loved by not only us but by the birds and the bees too! The fruits are followed by an excellent display of autumn colours.

Luma apiculata - Chilean Myrtle (15-20cm)

An evergreen fruit shrub that produces masses of pretty, pure white flowers in mid-summer, attracting the bees and butterflies. The flowers have a beautiful peach like scent and are the most extraordinary looking with long, curling stamens on the older flowers. This ornamental shrub produces an abundance of soft, black, aromatic berries which have a special hint of spice, the perfect addition to make your very own tangy, bittersweet Sardinian myrtle liqueur – Mirto Rosso. The cinnamon branches are sculptural and contrast beautifully against its dark green leaves. Our Chilean Myrtle looks great planted in the ground, placed in the conservatory or it can make a stunning patio plant.
