This is the rare Oriental sweet gum (Liquidambar orientalis) with an even later autumn coloration than the more common L styraciflua. Many leaves of brilliant yellows, oranges and shades of red are still on the tree at the start of December. The leaves are more deeply lobed and the fruits are smooth in between the projections. It loves a sunny, hot position. 💛🧡❤️🍁
