• Native in the uplands of Mexico, where it forms low thickets. It makes a fantastic bonsai, patio or conservatory plant with its tiny, Acacia-like leaves and ultimate height of 1m. The stems and seed pods are armed with backward pointing spines. The dainty, powder puff flowers are in the shades of pink and become very ornamental against the backdrop of its bluish foliage. Hardy to - 5C when established, it will also thrive in a pot if overwintered in a cold greenhouse or porch.
