Cinnamomum camphora is a handsome evergreen tree originating from Asia. has glossy, simple green leaves turn a vibrant orange before dropping in April-May. In the autumn, shiny, blue-black fruits are produced that add even more of an ornamental value. Our Cinnamomum camphora can grow to heights of 5-6m in temperature Western – Europe but in its native country, 30m tall trees are common. The Camphor Tree is hardy to temperatures as low as -10c. However, in the spring when new shoots are produced they are very sensitive to late frosts.
